How do Extra Lives work in co-op?
The whole team shares one pool of Extra Lives. When a ship is destroyed and lives remain, one is consumed from the shared pool and that player respawns from the bottom of the screen, briefly invincible. When no Extra Lives remain and the last active player is destroyed, the run fails. Because lives are shared, coordinate as a team so one player's repeated crashes don't drain the pool for everyone.
Why can only the host change the route, difficulty, or spend Doom Shards?
The host controls all shared decisions — menu navigation, route selection, difficulty, and permanent (Doom Shard) upgrades. Other players control their own ship, color, and personal (Credit) upgrades. If you want to make the shared choices, host the session yourself.
A player got disconnected. What happens to our run?
If a player drops from the session, the game continues for the remaining players. In some cases the host role ("crown") transfers to another player so the team can keep going. If the game appears to stall right after a disconnect or host change — for example your ship keeps moving but the stage won't end — return to the main menu and choose Resume Tour to continue. *(See "My ship won't progress after clearing a stage.")*
How do I get the most stable multiplayer connection?
- Put all players and the game device on a strong, reliable network.
- Prefer a wired (Ethernet) or 5 GHz wireless connection.
- Close other apps and browser tabs on phone controllers.
- Keep mobile browsers up to date.
